How I Started Booking Jobs

Based on a (my) true story

I started auditioning.

It was a DISASTER.

Everything was planned, safe, and locked.

I didn’t get work.

Working from a locked framework – although it felt safe – turned out to be detrimental.

I had to go on a journey to discover how to create from truth and impulse.

I trained with people from all over the planet.

After some hardcore experimenting, I learned how to invite spontaneity and welcome the unknown.

Immediately – I started booking jobs.

Soon theatre companies and universities started asking me to teach what I’d learned. 

Me, a teacher? Not in the plan. Fortunately, I trusted the requests.  Committed Impulse was born.

The results have been significant.

First off, the more I use the tools I teach – the more movies and TV shows I book.

CI has launched countless careers. 

It’s proven. It’s work. It’s damn fun. It’s the next wave of actor training.
