Connecting to all the detailed body sensations and emotions you’re feeling is a big part of the Committed Impulse training. We’ve found that the stronger the connection is to the body – the quieter the mind becomes. And the more the creative force in you flows.
“But what if I DON’T KNOW what I’m feeling, Josh?!”
You might ask as this fella did on a recent Committed Impulse Hangout.
We have to understand the following…
We’re rarely encouraged in our day-to-day lives to connect to our bodies/emotions. And usually, when we are encouraged to make that connection – we are then encouraged to analyze why we’re feeling what we’re feeling.
To be clear…
If you want to analyze and understand your emotions that’s fine – but in the midst of the creative act (while you’re acting, writing, painting, public speaking, etc) that analysis is only going to shut you down, and decrease your connection to your body and your creative impulses.
And, have no doubt, the audience wants to see your creative impulses!
But what if, like our friend asked, you’re just not sure what you’re feeling in your body???
Watch the video above for the answer.
I hope you’re having an awesome start to Summer!
I just celebrated Father’s Day with my son, Zane (below) followed by my Birthday. It was a great weekend. Could not be happier.
Our team is always here for you if you have any questions about the Committed Impulse Online Program or upcoming classes. Just reach out!
Be well.
