Wassup!
Well, Summer is in it’s juiciest part right now.
I trust you’ve been relishing every ounce of this sweet time.
If not – GET TO IT.
I’ve been living in my Sag Harbor house all summer.
When I’m not off paddleboarding I’ve been recording at the badass Monk Music Studios in East Hampton.
Wish I could say I’ve become the rapper, Ice-Pais-Babee, and am recording a couple new tracks.
But second best to that…
I’ve been recording audio for the 15 lessons which are part of the online Committed Impulse Training Program.
Plus we’ve completed post production on over two hours of video for the state-of-the-art physical training I developed called The Series. (I’m really happy with the world music that accompanies this training, too.)
Last spring we filmed a group of talented actors, at the beautiful Cedar Lake Studios, as I led them step by step through this rigorous physical training.
The Series pulls you out of your second-guessing-self-doubting mind and into your present-moment body in order to access your full creative spirit.
Feeling great in your body, more fit, and flexible, while keeping your body young, are awesome byproducts of The Series, however they are not the goal.
Creating in the present moment – the key element to being a steadily employed actor and invincible entrepreneur – is the goal.
How I came up with this…
Early on I went to acting school. I sought out every teacher I could find, because I wanted to be the best actor I could be.
But I found so much of the training put me in my head.
All the acting techniques I studied only created a disconnect with my fellow actors because I had to hold onto all these intentions and imaginary situations in my head.
Plus I was always worried I was doing the technique wrong.
I’m just a simple guy – it was all too complicated for me.
Then one day I came across Polly who had just just come back from training with an odd looking acting innovator in Poland.
She taught me what she had learned.
Pow!!!!
I felt truly present and out of my head for the first time.
Best of all, my acting started becoming effortless, fun and spontaneous as opposed to being labored and worrisome.
That was the beginning.
I then discovered that most actor training outside the US is physically based, whereas in the US it tends to be mind based.
I went on a journey to train with all the leading international innovators in the art-form of acting.
I morphed and tweaked everything I learned into what has become The Series.
The Series is an integral part of my CI classes, as you know.
Here’s the thing…
My classes have been filling up very fast and then going to large waiting lists – and it frustrates me because I want to work with everyone who is interested in CI.
I love sharing what I know works.
That’s why I’m very happy to make the Committed Impulse Training Program available online this fall.
This way, even if you can’t get into a live CI class (or you just want a refresher), you can start your training right away from your home. Plus, I’ve created game changing guided exercises to do before auditions, meetings and performances.
So besides grilling up fresh corn and eating ripe tomatoes, I’ve been cooking up this program in the CI laboratory for ya.
I’ll let you know when the doors to this Program open up.
Enjoy every ounce of your summer.
Lots of Love

. . .But I wanted to ask/was wondering if those exercises that were brought back from Europe for you – came from R. Cieslak are the Corporals and the Plastiques ??
all the best!

Yes! But Polly worked more with Grotowski than Cieslak.
